This lovely and unique Chianti estate dates its origins to the 1300's when it was part of the medieval Castle of Panzano. It was transformed into a classical villa in the late 1800's while retaining many of the original architectural elements. Located on the outskirts of the charming Chianti hilltop town of Panzano one can easily walk to the main piazza of the village. From the Estate one can enjoy the Villa's Italian gardens, swimming pool, tennis court, various loggias and extensive views over the vineyards, cypresses and olive trees of the surrounding countryside.
Today the Villa is a fine example of neo-gothic architecture and is a member of the Historical and Artistic National Heritage Trust in Italy therefore paying minimal Italian estate taxes. The lands surrounding the estate are completely protected by Italian landscape regulations.
The Estate comprises 20,000 square meters of enclosed park that includes olive groves, a small forest of holm oaks, extensive terraces, pergolas and a spectacular Italian garden.
The Villa includes 2,200 square meters of living space with very high ceilings, marvelous antique terracotta floors, fine fireplaces, and huge windows giving onto the gardens. There are several living rooms, more than twelve bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom, two kitchens, large playrooms for children, staff quarters, wine cellars, and entrance courtyard.
The gardens include a lovely swimming pool and tennis court, a large pool house with a summer kitchen and living room complemented by a modern well equipped fitness room.
The Villa was restored and refurbished in 1998 and also has wireless high speed internet access, air conditioning, central heating, and window screens for the bedrooms.

Very fine Chianti Classico DOCG vineyards are also available for purchase near to the estate by separate negotiation.
