Located on the hillsides above Florence and with a magnificent view upon the city, this historic villa was given to the poet and philosopher Marsilio Ficini by Cosimo de'Medici in the 1400's. It became the heart of studies in classicism that then spread throughout the world. In the 1800's Le Fontanelle was transformed by English owners who refurbished the villa in a neo gothic architectural style.
